We use only the cookies ZomaLog needs to work: to keep you signed in, protect your account and remember your language. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and our analytics don't use cookies at all, so there's no cookie banner.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Some are essential for a site to work. Others are used to follow people around the web for advertising. We use only the first kind.
Cookies we use
All our cookies are essential. They're set only on zomalog.com, and none is used for advertising or tracking.
- Sign-in: keeps you signed in to the web app at zomalog.com/app. Scripts on the page can't read it, and it's only sent over secure connections. It ends when you sign out or after a period without use.
- Security: helps protect sign-in and forms from attacks such as cross-site request forgery, and helps us tell people from automated abuse.
- Language: remembers whether you chose English or Georgian on our website.
When you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, or to pay on the web through Paddle, those companies may set their own cookies in their sign-in or checkout windows, under their own policies.
Storage in your browser
The web app also keeps a copy of your diary, a random device ID and food data in your browser's storage (IndexedDB), so it's fast and works offline. This data stays on your device and is used only by ZomaLog.
Analytics without cookies
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits to our website and to screens of the web app. It uses no cookies, doesn't build a profile of you and doesn't follow you across sites. It never receives what you search for.
What we don't use
No advertising cookies, no social media pixels, no cross-site tracking and no fingerprinting.
Why there's no banner
Because we use only essential cookies and cookieless analytics, we don't need a consent banner in the US or Georgia. Before we ever market ZomaLog in the European Union, we'll add a consent manager.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, you won't be able to sign in to the web app. We honor Global Privacy Control, and since we don't sell or share your data, there's nothing more to switch off.
